Gay Escapes Tip:
When to go? The best time to go to Maui is any time you have the opportunity. The fact that the island is situated at the edge of the tropical zone means that you can expect pristine weatherr just about year round. There are essentially only two seasons: the wet season and the dry season. The dry season generally corresponds to the late spring and summer months and lasts from April to October, while the rainy season lasts from November through March. It is noteworthy, however, that this state that
is entirely comprised of islands also features many different microclimates, due to the broad topographical diversity, including mountains, coastal plains, and deep valleys and tropical forests.

It’s difficult to find a more romantic city than Venice. A place of legend and mystery that combines over a hundred small islands connected by a labyrinth of canals and tiny bridges. Not surprisingly many of the best places for a romantic proposal involve the water, whether you are drifting along it in a gondola, sauntering over it along one of the iconic bridges, or simply sitting next to it on the terrace of one of the superb Venetian restaurants.
Gay Escapes Tip:
When to go? Late spring and early summer are the best times to visit Venice as far as weather is concerned. But the city during these beautiful warm days is packed with tourists, meaning that there can be long waits to enter museums and sights.
The fall is a lovely time to visit Venice, but it is also when the a flooding or let‘s say hight water is more likely to occur.
***If your partner likes to be in the spotlight, you can plan a very public proposal, where a personalized banner with your proposal message is hung from one of the canal bridges, and you are both showered with rose petals as you pass under it. You can even have a photographer ready nearby to take pictures or a video, and a musician serenading you as you pop the question.
***If you think your partner would prefer a quieter and more intimate proposal you should ask your gondolier to stick to the smaller side canals of Venice. You’ll never be totally alone as you’ll always have the gondolier with you, but if you tell him before you get on that you’re planning to propose and ask him to be discreet this usually does the trick and he’ll find some great locations.
RIO DE JANEIRO
Cities simply don’t get much more spectacular than Rio de Janeiro, making it the perfect place for romantically-minded travelers to pop the question. With majestic views, miles of beaches, vibrant nightlife and some excellent (if expensive) restaurants and hotels, there is no end of opportunity for creating the ultimate romantic moment.
Gay Escapes Tip:
When to go? Because of its location on the Tropic of Cancer, Rio is very tropical and has pleasant weather year round. During the summer months of December, January, February, and March you can expect it to be hot and humid, and the winter months very mild.
The months between December and April have the most average rainfall, which are usually afternoon showers or may last several days. In the winter (July, August, September) it never gets cold, although if it is cloudy out it may be a bit too chilly for the beach. This time of year receives the least amount of rainfall, so a typical winter day is usually sunny and warm.
***The highlight of your trip will surely be a engagement ring at the world-famous Corcovado Christ The Redeemer statue high above the city.
***A Helicopter flight from above scenic city will give you a memory that will stay with you forever.
***20km away from Rio lies the peaceful town of Vargem Grande, also know as Rio’s horseriding hot spot. There are plenty of stables to choose from; the Haras Pégasus offers some of the best scenic trails for your romantic ride in rural Rio. Ride through the mountains, hack in the jungle or canter along the coast and find a right moment for your proposal.

An underwater nature preserve, pristine beaches, sport fishing and chock-a-block shopping, it is just the right combination of natural wonder, local allure and modern luxury.
Gay Escapes Tip:
Cabo San Lucas is characterized by a mild year-round climate, which makes it the perfect getaway anytime of year. The most popular time is October through May, when the weather is ideal, whale season is in effect, and many people want to escape the colder temperatures up north.
Summer is the least popular time to go, with warmer temperatures and occasional showers.
*** Take a Sunset Cruise. The Rissalena offers a great private champagne cruise. This will be an unforgetable and romantic proposal.
*** Have dinner at Sunset Da Mona Lisa. This is a popular romantic dinner spot in Cabo because it offers you the watch the sunset behind the arch.
*** Plan your proposal at Lover’s Beach: Hop aboard a sailing cruise, water taxi or glass-bottom boat at the Cabo San Lucas marina and head over to Playa del Amor or Lover’s Beach. This small, extremely photogenic beach is tucked between the rock formations at Land’s End near Cabo’s famous arch. Lover’s Beach faces Cabo San Lucas Bay. The main attraction here is the drama of the location. If you do take a panga or water taxi ride out to Lover’s Beach, be sure to arrange return transportation. As there are no services at the beach, you’ll also want to pack in your romantic lunch, shampagne, suntan lotion and towels.
We hope our selection of gay friendly proposal destinations and tips lists will help you to decide and select the most favourite place for you proposal day.
